"What is your favorite book cover?"
My favorite? Just one? Hmmmm, that's hard. I love some covers based on the art alone and then I love covers because I've read the book and I loved the book. Based on the cover alone, I love Sisters Red. The mirror imaging of the sisters and the the wolf's sinister stare is so very cool. I can see this image on a t-shirt. (and I would SO wear the shirt)
I tend to go for more artistic renditions than photographic images. Strange because photography is a huge hobby of mine, but there you go. Sometimes I think a book cover will be nothing special until I read the book and then everything changes. After reading the book, the story and book cover just click. After that...I have a better opinion on the cover.
